Kevin Atwater is getting into more trouble on Chicago PD, according to NBC‘s official description of the next episode and the promo they’ve released for it.

Wednesday’s installment is called “Night In Chicago” and focuses on Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins), which is always a good thing. However, based on the synopsis, he’s going to be forced into making a really difficult decision. And that’s not good; it seems like the show is always forcing Atwater into some sort of corner. Will this be related to the gun audiences saw him throw away a few episodes ago? Or is this going to be a new problem with new consequences?

Either way, this is a storyline that will likely be bittersweet. On one hand, it’s great because there hasn’t been enough Atwater on Chicago PD for the last two seasons, so at least this episode will be changing that. On the other hand, he’s also been put through the wringer a lot and fans may not want to see more angst for him.

Also, there’ve been a lot of undercover operations recently; how will this episode tread new ground? Or is the Intelligence Unit kind of turning into the Undercover Unit? Watch and see what happens next.
