Chicago Fire season 7, episode 14 synopsis and promo: It Wasn’t About Hockey

The next Chicago Fire episode will take place mostly outside of Firehouse 51, according to NBC‘s official description of the installment and the promotional video they’ve released for it.

Wednesday’s episode is called “It Wasn’t About Hockey,” and the main story involves Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo), Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) and Emily Foster (Annie Ilonzeh) making plans for that girls’ time Stella referenced earlier. But their road trip finds itself put on hold when they come across a terrible accident.

What’s going on back at the firehouse in their absence? More team bonding! After the group was part of the Polar Plunge last week, this time around they’re gearing up for a chili competition. So if you’re keeping score, they’re going from really cold to really hot. Expect plenty of comic relief while they test out super-hot chili ingredients. Hopefully no one winds up needing a paramedic, because they’re both really busy.

"Brett, Foster and Kidd take a road trip to Indiana for a getaway and encounter a bus accident involving a boy’s hockey team that will leave them scrambling and relying on their instincts to save those hurt in the accident. The rest of Firehouse 51 competes in the annual Chili Cook-Off."
