Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is revisiting an old story, so find out how to watch SVU online or live this week, as NBC‘s long-running drama returns to a plot started last season.

Thursday’s episode is entitled “Facing Demons,” which is a callback to the season 19 episode titled “Chasing Demons.” Just as in that episode, former Special Victims Unit member Brian Cassidy (the recurring Dean Winters) is pulled back into the investigation. This time, it’s Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) who recruits her ex-colleague and ex-boyfriend when she doesn’t know what else to do. But that didn’t go so well before.

Hopefully Cassidy will stay out of trouble this time, but if this episode is half as good as the one that preceded it, this will be emotionally powerful and could also be important for both the Cassidy and Benson characters.
