Chicago PD chased down a politically connected serial killer this week. Find out what happened in our Chicago PD season 6, episode 16 recap.

This week’s Chicago PD dealt another devastating blow to Hank Voight—while also definitively revealing that one of the show’s mayoral candidates is a terrible, terrible person.

Wednesday’s installment “The Forgotten” saw one of Voight’s (Jason Beghe) longtime informants abducted by a serial killer, who had already claimed three victims and was suspected of killing far more. Intelligence raced against the clock to find her before she was added to his body count.

Elsewhere, Alderman Ray Price (recurring guest star Wendell Pierce) was looking for Voight’s help to win the mayoral election—even suggesting that the fate of the Intelligence Unit depended on it. But which candidate wasn’t telling the truth?

An informant goes missing

“The Forgotten” started off on an odd note: not only had Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) gone out with Kelton’s aide Blair (guest star Charles Michael Davis), she’d slept with him! Sorry, Burzek fans, looks like it’s over from both sides.

But while she was enjoying the afterglow, Chicago PD showed Price meeting with Voight to talk about recent poll results. Price wanted Voight’s help to become mayor, and pulled the “enemy of my enemy is my friend card” by warning that Kelton would disband the Intelligence Unit if he won the election.

Luckily Voight was pulled away for another drug bust. After another random reference to Alvin Olinsky (this time with a CI saying he was “a good dude”), the bust ended on a down note because the informant wasn’t there when Voight came to drive her to the airport the next morning. Lexie had been abducted…of course on what was supposed to be her last job. Something always happens on the last job.

Intelligence found the fingerprints of Lexie’s boss, also a registered sex offender, in her apartment. Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) and Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) paid him a visit, but he said “some creepy customer” had been looking for Lexie during her last shift. And another girl at the club, Devon, told Upton that other dancers had gone missing before.

Clearly, there was a serial kidnapper on the loose, with three victims murdered and others still missing.
