Tuesday’s episode, titled “Invisible,” deals with something that seems fairly standard for crime TV shows: the child of a rich and/or high-profile family is taken, and the heroes have to rush in to find and save them. (There was even a whole show about this subject called Kidnapped, which Jeremy Sisto starred in before joining Law & Order. Let’s see if this episode makes any sort of reference to that role.)

But there’s a plot twist, and it’s that the motive isn’t money—it’s wanting to be popular on social media. It seems like almost everyone wants to be an “influencer” on Instagram or Facebook or any of a dozen other platforms, but resorting to abducting somebody to do it? That seems harsh. Fans will have to see how one of these things connects to the other when you watch FBI online and/or live this Tuesday.
