More One Chicago reruns planned for March 13
The One Chicago franchise is staying parked as NBC has lined up Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago PD repeats to be shown on March 13.
Fans who were hoping for new One Chicago episodes after last week’s lineup of reruns will be disappointed this Wednesday. NBC is sticking with a full night of repeats for March 13.
The network’s primetime schedule confirms that more old installments will be shown instead of new ones tomorrow. As was the case on March 7, these will be episodes from the current seasons but this next batch is even more recent—they’re ones that fans originally saw in January.
Chicago Med fans will see “The Things We Do” (which premiered on Jan. 23), while Chicago Fire has “Inside These Walls” (that first aired on Jan. 9) and Chicago PD will close out the night with a second airing of “Trust” (originally on Jan. 16).
It’s pretty interesting that, unlike the last batch of repeats, these are all episodes from different weeks during the season. They’re episode 12, 10 and 11 from the runs respectively, so fans are getting a mix of installments rather than just a straight strip of re-broadcasts.

While it’s certainly not good news that NBC is holding onto the One Chicago franchise for one more week, there’s a semi-silver lining involved. Even when the episodes aren’t new, the three shows still draw a reasonable audience.
Last week, the Chicago Med rerun had 4.76 million people watching live, with Chicago Fire at 4.43 and Chicago PD reaching 3.96 million.
That was still good enough for fourth, fifth and sixth places respectively out of the 12 broadcast TV shows that aired—so still in the top half, even though it was completely not new! It was more than the total viewership of everything on FOX and The CW, and almost everything on CBS.
So even though this isn’t an ideal situation, fans can possibly take some solace in knowing that their favorite franchise is still making waves in the ratings. Click the banner below to check out the entire One Chicago schedule for the rest of the month.
