When will Chicago PD season 7 premiere on NBC? Even though the sixth season has just ended, One Chicago fans are already asking when the next season is going to start and resolve that huge cliffhanger.

Unfortunately, there’s some confusion as to when next season begins. NBC advertised that the show would be back, along with the other two One Chicago series, by airing Chicago-themed ads during each of their season finales last month. However, they didn’t actually include a date in the advertisements.

Nor did they say anything about a Chicago PD premiere date when they unveiled their schedule for the 2019-2020 TV season at their upfront presentation either.

That means all One Chicago viewers can do is project when the show is coming back by looking at what’s happened in the previous seasons, and making an educated guess based on those details.

Obviously, the show is starting its new season on a Wednesday, or NBC wouldn’t be showing all those ads about Chicago Wednesdays. And if you’ve watched enough TV, you know that the fall TV season normally begins in September.

That narrows down the possibilities, and fans can narrow it down even further by looking back at the premiere dates of the past few seasons. The sixth season started on Sept. 26, while season 5 had a start date of Sept. 27. So it’s always been near the end of the month.

When is the last Wednesday in September this fall? That would be Sept. 25, so for that reason, the projected Chicago PD premiere date would be Sept. 25, 2019 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

This is just educated speculation, based on the existing evidence, but it seems the most likely date for season 7 to begin. We’ll update this post when NBC officially announces a confirmed date!
