Watch First Responders Live premiere free on iTunes
Haven’t seen Dick Wolf’s new reality series First Responders Live yet? You can watch the series premiere now for free through iTunes.
If you haven’t checked out Dick Wolf‘s latest TV show, First Responders Live has made its way onto iTunes—and it’s free.
The FOX series follows police, firefighters and paramedics in select cities across the country while host Josh Elliott (Good Morning America) and a trio of experts discuss and analyze their actions in a studio. It’s aired two episodes so far.
Now iTunes is giving Dick Wolf enthusiasts a chance to catch up by making the premiere episode free to download. It also offers a season pass for the rest of the season, though that you’ll have to purchase.
The series premiered on June 12 to soft ratings opposite the pivotal seventh game of the Stanley Cup Finals on NBC; it attracted just 2.11 million people watching live. Ratings further declined for the second episode on June 19; that had a live audience of 2.08 million.
That ranked it 11th out of the 13 programs that aired on broadcast TV this Wednesday. Only The CW‘s evening lineup—a repeat Penn & Teller: Fool Us and a new Jane the Virgin—were watched by less people.
First Responders Live needs a boost to get more folks tuning in, and offering up an episode for free is a good start. Many people may have missed the first episode because of the hockey playoffs, and might have assumed that they missed it permanently since the series is promoted as live.

iTunes gives viewers a second opportunity to see it, and since it doesn’t cost anything, they’ll be more inclined to watch.
