Christmas with Holly, starring Chicago Fire’s Eloise Mumford, repeats
Chicago Fire alum Eloise Mumford stars in Christmas with Holly, which is returning to Hallmark Channel this weekend for another screening.
If Chicago Fire fans are looking for something to watch this weekend, Hallmark Channel has lined up an encore showing of Eloise Mumford‘s film Christmas with Holly.
While she played the slightly obsessed Hope Jacquinot in Chicago Fire season 6, understandably Mumford’s role in this feel-good holiday TV-movie is much different.
The movie follows her character Maggie Conway, who gets left at the altar by her fiance on their wedding day—so she moves from Seattle to the small town of Friday Harbor. Maggie opens up a toy store there, and meets young Holly Nagle (played by siblings Josie and Lucy Gallina).
Holly has her own story; her mother was killed in a car accident, after which Holly hasn’t spoken a word. She’s being raised by her uncle Mark Nagle (Sean Faris, Pretty Little Liars). While Maggie and Holly bond, Maggie also finds love with Mark.
The film is based on Lisa Kleypas’s romance novel Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor. It was originally part of the Hallmark Hall of Fame series, and aired on ABC back in 2012. But as part of Hallmark Channel’s annual “Christmas in July” movie promotion, it’s returning to TV for a limited time.
Since some Chicago Fire viewers only know Eloise Mumford from playing the unpredictable Hope, the movie is a chance to see her in a completely different role. Hallmark movies are always upbeat and always end well, and Christmas with Holly is no exception. It’s charming, sweet and a good romance, unlike what happened between Hope and Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney).

More recently, Eloise Mumford was cast as a series regular in the NatGeo series The Right Stuff. But until that premieres in 2020, this is your opportunity to see her outside of Firehouse 51.
