Arrow season 8 will include two One Chicago actors making return appearances, including fan favorite Colin Donnell as Tommy Merlyn.

Fans have asked and they will receive—Colin Donnell is officially returning to The CW‘s Arrow as part of its upcoming final season, and he’s not the only One Chicago alum, either.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Donnell will guest star at some point during the final 10 episodes, playing another alternate version of the very much dead Tommy Merlyn.

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim told EW that the actor’s “not coming back as the Tommy we know,” which is no surprise. Donnell already played an evil Tommy during season 6; he’s also been seen in Oliver Queen’s (Stephen Amell) head a few times, too.

The Chicago Med alum was near the top of fans’ lists in a recent poll asking which characters they wanted to see return during Arrow season 8. He received the most write-in votes, with more than a third of the people who added their own answer picking Tommy Merlyn.

But One Chicago viewers will also want to be on the lookout for Josh Segarra, who portrayed Hank Voight’s (Jason Beghe) troubled son Justin on Chicago PD.

He went on to portray the villain Prometheus (aka Adrian Chase) on Arrow, and he, too, will come back during the final season. Since Prometheus is also dead, it’s no spoiler to say Segarra’s return will have some kind of twist as well. But since both actors are also off their respective One Chicago shows, this provides the opportunity for our fandom to see them again, even if it’s in other roles.

No information is available as to when either actor will appear, and if it’s just for one episode or could be for more than one. What we do now is that Arrow season 8 premieres on Oct. 15, so it’ll be some time until Colin Donnell and Josh Segarra grace our TV screens again.
