What happened

Stella Kidd was one of the primary characters in Chicago Fire season 7, and as such she was part of some of the biggest storylines—if she wasn’t at the center of them.

Professionally, Stella was involved in a number of challenges. She was hospitalized during the first One Chicago crossover near the start of the season, and was recognized when her instincts led her to uncover a scheme where children were being hidden in walls. In fact, it was Stella who helped physically stop him, and she also put herself between another child and a fake firefighter in a later episode, too.

Personally, her relationship with Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) was a focal point of the season. She broke up with him again, but it was obvious that they were never really done with each other. Even though an old friend hit on Stella, she still carried a torch for Kelly, and in the season finale they had jumped back into bed together and reignited their relationship. Hopefully they’ll stick together this time.
