What happened

April had one of the busier seasons of any character during Chicago Med season 4. Her problems started when Emily Choi (recurring guest star Arden Cho) wanted to mend fences with April, which eventually led to April letting Emily and Emily’s baby live at her apartment. And all of the drama that came with it.

It was April and Emily’s brother Ethan (Brian Tee) who spent most of the season dealing with a wide variety of issues related to Emily, her boyfriend Bernie (recurring guest star C.S. Lee), Bernie’s wife and other child, or some combination thereof. Then just as that seemed to be resolved, April dropped a bombshell on Ethan and the viewers: there was a possibility she might be pregnant!

Before Ethan and April rekindled their relationship, though, they had strife at work that led to her saying they weren’t even friends, including Ethan worrying that April might have killed a patient. But in the same season, April also rushed into a quarantined hospital to save Ethan’s life, so it was certainly a roller coaster for both characters! Now where do they go from here?
