One Chicago reruns off NBC schedule in August 2019
The One Chicago franchise will stay off NBC’s primetime schedule in August 2019, with Chicago PD, Chicago Fire and Chicago Med getting a break.
One Chicago fans can continue enjoying their summer, because NBC isn’t serving up any reruns of their favorite shows in August 2019.
The network’s primetime schedule for this month does not include any repeats of Chicago Fire, Chicago PD or Chicago Med. That makes it the third consecutive month that NBC has decided to keep the franchise on the bench.
But that’s not particularly surprising, because the network hasn’t shown any episodes since the season ended—and they didn’t show many reruns over last year’s summer hiatus either.
What’s interesting is that this is the only franchise that’s getting the rest. Dick Wolf‘s Law & Order brand is staying on the air, whith reruns of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit lined up throughout the month.

Of course, Law & Order: SVU is also on several other networks in syndication, so it may be more useful to keep it on the air (and hopefully bring some of those syndicated viewers over to NBC) as opposed to the Chicago shows where only Chicago PD has a syndication contract.
Whatever the reason, fans will need to find something else to watch this month. Audiences can see a limited number of episodes for free on Hulu, or click the link above to see the NBC lineup on FuboTV. You can also purchase episodes on iTunes and Amazon Video, and DVD releases for each series are on the way, too.
The good news is that August is the last full month of hiatus; new episodes of all three shows will be on NBC at the end of September.
