Who’s returning in Chicago PD season 7?

Who’s returning in Chicago PD season 7? Find out who’s expected to be part of the Chicago PD season 7 cast and part of the Intelligence Unit.

Who is in the Chicago PD season 7 cast? Before the new season starts, fans may be asking which actors and characters they can expect to see in the NBC series, thanks to the multiple cliffhangers in May’s previous finale.

Already, there have been a few clues floating around that serve as unintentional cast spoilers. For example, even though Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) was last seen behind bars, Ruzek is not leaving the show. Fans know this for a fact because Chicago PD showrunner Rick Eid mentioned in a recent interview that Ruzek is one of three characters who could be promoted this season.

If he were truly being locked up for murder, Adam certainly wouldn’t be eligible to make detective!

Eid’s interview also mentions that Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) may also get a bump in rank, so they’re not going anywhere either.

What about the rest of the team? Hank Voight (Jason Beghe). Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) and Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) are all featured in the promotional ad that NBC released last week touting the new season.

And while Trudy Platt (Amy Morton) had a severely reduced role in the last season, she’s still part of the show as well; Morton is featured in the back of the show’s part of the new One Chicago key art.

The one person who’s definitely not returning is Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda). Unlike the Chicago Med actors who were dropped from their series, there’s been no confirmation that Seda is being brought back to Chicago PD for a season premiere guest appearance. So if you’re looking for closure on what happened to Antonio, you’re probably not going to get it.
