What will Chicago PD season 7 have in store for Adam Ruzek? Look ahead as we preview the new Chicago PD season for Patrick John Flueger’s character.

Before Chicago PD season 7 begins in just a few weeks, we’re previewing the season for each main character. Where did they leave off last season, what ought to happen with them in the new season, and what might happen next?

In this article, we are profiling Officer Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger).

Ruzek has been with the Intelligence Unit since Alvin Olinsky (Elias Koteas) brought him up from the police academy in season 1. Since then, he’s grown from a fresh-faced cadet to a headstrong cop who isn’t afraid to go all in on a case.

Last season saw him repeat some old patterns, as well as ignite a new romance. Remember when he found himself at odds with Denny Woods (Mykelti Williamson) during season 5? While it wasn’t Denny this time, Adam did find himself on the wrong side of the law again with an Internal Affairs investigation.

In better news, in “Bad Boys”, he hooked up with the last person Chicago PD fans expected: Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos). What started out as a one—okay, two—night stand between the pair turned into the beginnings of a serious relationship by the second half of season 6. But even that didn’t quite go according to plan.

Will the new season give Ruzek a bit of breathing room, or will the hits just keep coming?
