In this article, we’re profiling Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo).
Where we left off
Stella Kidd was kept busy during Chicago Fire season 7, almost right off the bat. In the crossover that started in episode 2, she was hospitalized and underwent major surgery, but wound up being just fine and went right back to firefighting.
Professionally, both of her biggest stories involved children. Stella’s gut instinct about another fire led her to uncover a man trafficking children, and she and Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) were the ones who ultimately stopped him until the police could arrive. And in a later episode, she protected another young boy with her life, putting herself between him and the fake firefighter who wanted to shoot him.
It was no surprise that Stella’s personal storylines were all about Stellaride. She dealt with Kelly’s jealousy toward her old friend Tyler, which was proven right when Tyler hit on her anyway. At the same time, she and Severide were never really out of each other’s lives. Though they broke up, it was only a matter of time before they got back together, and they spent a passionate night in one another’s arms near the end of the season. So what’s next?
