In this article, we’re profiling Maggie Lockwood (Marlyne Barrett).

Where we left off

Maggie Lockwood may not have had a huge amount of screen time in Chicago Med season 4, but the season did feature several major developments for her character.

Professionally, Maggie’s career expanded beyond being the hospital’s charge nurse. Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell) recruited her to work in his hybrid OR, so she assisted on several different surgeries. She also did some medicine in the field, when a vehicle drove through a street fair that she and Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) were attending.

Personally the stakes were even higher. Maggie found out that her sister’s boyfriend was abusive. She also donated her kidney to an old acquaintance, who was in desperate need of one but unlikely to make it anywhere on the organ transplant list. And that, in turn, led to a bombshell in the season finale: unexpected issues with said kidney after the transplant revealed that Maggie may have cancer!

Her health status remains in the air, so will she get terrible news when Chicago Med returns? And where will her career go with Connor on his way out the door?
