Wednesday’s season premiere “Doubt” is all about solving the murder mystery that was set up at the end of the previous season. The team’s latest nemesis, Brian Kelton (John C. McGinley), was elected the next Mayor of Chicago and then promptly shot to death in his own home. Who killed him? Could it possbly be Hank Voight (Jason Beghe), who had a personal vendetta against him?

The Intelligence Unit has to search for Kelton’s killer, while entertaining the notion that Voight is the top suspect. That will create more tension within the unit, but expect that the truth won’t be that simple. After all, if Voight just murdered the mayor-elect, he’d have to find a way to get away with it.
