The next Chicago Med is going to get very dark, literally, according to NBC‘s official description of the episode and the promo that they’ve released for it.

Wednesday’s episode is called “We’re Lost In The Dark” and it skips ahead about six weeks from the season premiere. Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) is out of the ICU and back to work, but she may not be back to her usual high standards. And when a power outage hits the hospital, it’ll throw everyone into chaos anyway.

Plus, the show’s newest character Dr. Crockett Marcel (recurring guest star Dominic Rains) will be back. This time, though, he’s not playing so well with others. It’ll be interesting to see how Marcel begins building relationships with the main cast, since while the character has been working here for a while, the audience hasn’t seen any of that—and presumably most of the other doctors we follow don’t know him that well either. Will he make friends or enemies?

If you watch the promo, you’ll see that this episode also contains a crossover guest appearance from at least one character from Chicago Fire.

"Dr. Choi and Dr. Charles have difficult decisions to make as a dying man tries to preserve his future life with a controversial scientific method. Dr. Marcel and April clash over how to handle a mysterious patient and Will questions Natalie’s capabilities. Sharon assigns a nurse to shadow Maggie, much to her dismay."
