This week’s Chicago Med is the middle part of the One Chicago crossover, and NBC has released an official description and promo to hype up the second part of the event.

Med moves from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. specifically for the crossover, as the doctors and nurses of our favorite hospital respond to a medical emergency sweeping the city of Chicago. With a biological disaster in progress, can they save infected patients and keep the infection from spreading? And what kind of infection are they dealing with, exactly? There are all kinds of questions that they’re determined to answer.

This show often feels like the overlooked middle child during crossovers, so now that the plot is specifically medical, it’ll be interesting to see how this installment works compared to previous three-hour events. Hopefully that means more of the Med cast and a chance for them to do some very cool things.

A reminder: because of the time slot change, if you DVR the show, check in advance to make sure that your DVR has adjusted accordingly. Don’t miss any part of the One Chicago crossover! Even if it may make you not want to go outside for a while.
