The truth comes out

Back at Chicago Med, the doctors rush to salvage what was left of their research and find a cure. And Dr. Crockett Marcel (Dominic Rains) almost loses Amanda during surgery when she goes into shock, but is able to stabilize her. She’s in critical condition. And he’s so busy dealing with paranoid people who are fine, that he forgets about her. He rushes in just in time to see Amanda crashing again, but Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) is there to find her pulse.

Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) interrogates Seldon’s ex-wife, who insists that neither she nor her husband are crazy. They’re just spending too much time thinking about all the ways the human race could be wiped out. They must have had some terrible dinner conversation. Voight threatens her and that’s when she reveals that her ex said “that he wasn’t done yet.” She gives up a list of everything he took from the home, presumably for his final attack.

Chicago PD has the rest of the team spell out everything to this point for any viewers who can’t keep up: Seldon infected research assistant Stuart Anderson on purpose to use him as Patient Zero, then pretended to be clueless so he could get involved with Chicago Med and sabotage their attempts to stop him.

Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) finds a similar truck to the one Seldon stole from his ex-wife’s house, but the only thing that happens there is an overzealous uniform shooting at an innocent man. Seldon is gaming everybody.

How does Intelligence tell the false leads from the real ones? Enlist Trudy, of course! We need more Trudy. And we need more Trudy with Mouch (Christian Stolte), who pops by just to see that his wife is okay. Awww.
