Chicago Med season 5, episode 5 synopsis: Got A Friend In Me
What’s happening in this week’s Chicago Med episode? Find out about Got A Friend In Me with the Chicago Med season 5, episode 5 synopsis and teaser.
This week’s Chicago Med is back to business as usual at the hospital, according to NBC‘s official description of the episode and the promo that they’ve released for it.
Wednesday’s installment is called “Got A Friend In Me,” which is also the title of a Randy Newman song from Toy Story, although that’s neither here nor there. In the context of this show, we get a story featuring Dr. Crockett Marcel (Dominic Rains). Marcel butts heads with Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee), and let’s hope that goes better than when Marcel came into conflict with Choi’s girlfriend April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta) two episodes ago.
Plus, Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) gets a second consecutive storyline that sounds like it could get her fired. She seems to be back to the trouble-making Natalie that we saw circa seasons 2 and 3. Of course, that will probably prompt even more tension in the Manstead relationship, or what’s left of it. Get ready for more arguing between everyone’s favorite on-again, off-again ex-couple!
Here’s how NBC officially describes the episode:
"Dr. Choi and Dr. Marcel don’t see eye-to-eye over the treatment of a patient’s chronic pain and rumors start to circulate about Maggie. Dr. Manning works to help a young boy, but her treatment suggestions are challenged by the parents who believe in only using holistic remedies."
And here’s the promotional video that’s been airing ahead of the episode (which actually shows all three One Chicago episodes this week; there’s no individual promo):
