What’s happening in this week’s Chicago Fire episode? Find out about What Went Wrong with the Chicago Fire season 8, episode 5 synopsis and teaser.

The next Chicago Fire will be a spotlight episode featuring Joe Cruz, according to NBC‘s official description and the promo that they’ve released for it.

Wednesday’s installment is entitled “What Went Wrong,” which is not an encouraging title; that means something has to go wrong at some point in the hour. But what is fantastic about it is that we’re going to see a lot of Cruz (Joe Minoso). Cruz will team up with his lieutenant as the two look into yet another suspicious fire; Firehouse 51 seems to be getting very good at doing their own detective work!

Plus, the rescue team is being kept particularly busy, between last week and now this week’s story.

And the subplot seems to be Cruz-related, as well, because the firehouse is celebrating. The network doesn’t say specifically what, but One Chicago fans don’t have to think hard to guess, since last week’s episode ended with Cruz getting engaged to his girlfriend Chloe (recurring guest star Kristen Gutoskie). So add it all up and if you’re a fan of his character, you’re going to love this episode.
