Chicago PD season 7, episode 6 synopsis: Brother’s Keeper

The next Chicago PD episode will put the spotlight on Jay Halstead, according to NBC‘s official description of the episode and the promo that they’ve released for it.

Wednesday’s installment is called “False Positive,” and it’s going to center on Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) as Intelligence investigates the murders of several young boys. The case has an effect on Jay for some reason; is it just the obvious that these are horrible crimes, or is there something in this episode that’s going to strike a chord with him personally? The network’s not saying exactly what his issue is.

Either way, it’s good that the show is checking in with Halstead. He’s been playing much more of a supporting role in the first part of this season, except for the season premiere where he handled the investigation into the murder of Superintendent Brian Kelton (John C. McGinley) and then that crazy end to the “Infection” crossover. So now that we know how most of the other characters are doing, it’ll be helpful to see where Jay’s head is at and just see more of him.
