This week’s Chicago PD will give us more of a character fans have been asking for, according to the photos NBC has released for the next episode.
Wednesday’s installment is called “False Positive,” and the official photo spread doesn’t give a lot away about what the storyline will cover. But this is one of the rare occasions where the plot ends up being secondary, because these photos prove we’re going to get more of Trudy Platt (Amy Morton)!
Multiple images show Platt outside the district and having some words with Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer). It’s rare to see Trudy not behind the desk, and especially after she had a sizeable part in last week’s episode, it’s great that she’s getting at least one big scene this week. Maybe the writers have finally caught on to how much they’ve been underusing her?
Beyond that, it’s clear that Halstead is going to be front and center in this story, though there are some good action shots for other characters as well. But this seems like an hour that’s going to serve some of the characters who haven’t gotten the spotlight this season, and that’s the best thing that fans could ask for!
