Chicago Justice’s Monica Barbaro guest stars in tonight’s Stumptown
Chicago Justice alum Monica Barbaro takes her talents to another crime drama tonight, as she guests on ABC’s Stumptown. Get all the details here.
Tonight’s episode of Stumptown will feature a guest appearance from Chicago Justice actress Monica Barbaro.
Monica, who starred in the fourth One Chicago series as Assistant State’s Attorney Anna Valdez, will appear in the new ABC series as Liz Melero. Details on her character haven’t been provided but the episode, entitled “Dex, Drugs and Rock & Roll” centers on a stalking case.
When private investigator Dex Parios (series star Cobie Smulders) is reunited with her ex-girlfriend Fiona (Ionna Gika), she winds up having to protect the rock star from a stalker.
Stumptown brings Monica Barbaro back to ABC, where she had a recurring role as Lisa Apple on the sitcom Splitting Up Together throughout that show’s two seasons.
It’s also right up her alley, as she’s been doing a few crime-related projects since the cancellation of Justice. Monica reprised her role as Anna Valdez on Chicago PD, then co-starred in the Netflix comedy-drama The Good Cop alongside Josh Groban and Tony Danza.
She’ll also be seen in the highly anticipated sequel Top Gun 2: Maverick when it hits theaters in June 2020.

The best news for One Chicago fans is that this also appears to be a recurring part. According to ABC’s official information, Monica Barbaro not only guest stars tonight but is also included in next Wednesday’s Stumptown episode as well.
So whoever Liz is, she has some significant impact that goes beyond this week—which should also mean decent screen time for Monica.
Stumptown airs tonight at 10 p.m. on ABC, so if you’re watching Chicago PD, you’ll want to make sure to record it. Watch a preview of the episode by playing the video below.
