Chicago Med’s Patti Murin in Hallmark movie Holiday for Heroes
Chicago Med alum Patti Murin is featured in the new Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film Holiday for Heroes. Watch a sneak peek and get the details.
One Chicago fans can get into the Christmas spirit early tonight, as Patti Murin has a Hallmark Christmas movie on the way!
Patti, who plays Dr. Nina Shore on Chicago Med, is part of the cast of Holiday for Heroes which premieres on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. The film tells the story of Audrey Brown (five-time Daytime Emmy Award nominee Melissa Claire Egan, The Young & The Restless), who has been exchanging letters with a soldier for years.
But then Matt Evans (Marc Blucas, Buffy The Vampire Slayer) turns up in person, and the duo meet face-to-face for the first time. Will their romantic chemistry be as real as it was in their letters? It seems likely, because this is a Hallmark movie—but watch and find out.
Patti portrays Audrey’s friend and co-worker, because who wouldn’t want Patti Murin as their friend? But it’s a chance to see her in a different role than Chicago Med’s pathologist, and it’s quite perfect for her and how much positive energy she brings every time she appears on screen.
It’s her latest TV role since Nina Shore appeared in the Med season 4 finale, giving Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell) the truth about his father’s death. She’s currently starring on Broadway as Princess Anna in Disney’s Frozen: The Broadway Musical; she’ll exit that role in February. But before that, she’s helping us all celebrate the holidays a little early.
