Dick Wolf is producing a new scripted podcast, Hunted, which focuses on the U.S. Marshals Service and tells the story of one case over eight episodes.

Dick Wolf is expanding his footprint in the podcast world with a new scripted series, Hunted, that premieres this Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Hunted is Wolf’s second recent project featuring a federal law enforcement agency; this time he’s telling a story about the United States Marshals Service, as one determined Marshal chases after a group of escaped convicts.

U.S. Marshal Emily Barnes (voiced by Parker Posey) is asked to track down four escapees from a maximum-security prison, which the podcast’s press release calls “one of the most treacherous and violent manhunts in United States history.”

It’s expected to be the first in a series of podcast dramas that Wolf Entertainment is producing with Endeavor Audio. You can check out the trailer below.

Hunted‘s initial two episodes will be available on Nov. 12 through wherever you download your podcasts. Episodes 3-6 will be released one at a time on subsequent Tuesdays, with the final two episodes being delivered together on Tuesday, Dec. 17—the week before Christmas.

This is the second Dick Wolf universe podcast in just a few months. NBC partnered with Wolf on an unscripted companion podcast for Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, which is available through podcast platforms and the show’s YouTube channel.

But scripted podcasts are a growing frontier of content. Marvel has found success with their Wolverine podcast series starring Richard Armitage (Berlin Station), and Oscar winner Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody) recently starred in the podcast Blackout. It’s a new way to tell a story, and it makes perfect sense that Dick Wolf would venture into that arena with his own great ideas.
