What’s happening in this week’s Chicago Fire episode? Find out about Seeing is Believing with the Chicago Fire season 8, episode 8 synopsis and teaser.

The latest Chicago Fire is going to be another Severide-heavy episode, according to NBC‘s official description of the episode and the promo that they’ve released for it.

Wednesday’s installment “Seeing is Believing” picks up on a storyline from the previous week, as Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) has moved out of Firehouse 51. But it doesn’t take him long to butt heads with his bosses on his new job, which is typical Severide behavior. One Chicago fans know that Severide’s instincts are almost always right, so will that be the case this time? Or will he get knocked down a peg instead?

Back at the firehouse, Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg) is back on the warpath, this time about another fire call that he takes personally. So it sounds like there’s going to be quite a bit of investigating happening this week, and we’ll have to see what our firefighters dig up. After all, fires are rarely simple on this show, or these episodes would go by a lot quicker! And it would be nice for Herrmann to get a win after how stressed he was last time out.

Here’s how NBC officially describes the episode:

"Severide begins his assignment at the Office of Fire Investigation and gets off on the wrong foot when, despite his orders, he reopens an old case. When the cause of an apartment fire hits close to home, Herrmann is on a mission to get to the bottom of it. Kidd finds herself burning the candle at both ends."
