You season 2 is now streaming on Netflix, with Chicago Fire alum Charlie Barnett in a recurring role in the psychological thriller.

You season 2 is streaming on Netflix now, and One Chicago fans will want to check it out because former Chicago Fire star Charlie Barnett has joined the cast.

Barnett, who played firefighter Peter Mills on Chicago Fire, was hired earlier this year to join You season 2 in a recurring role. He plays Gabe Miranda, an acupuncturist who is also the best friend of Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti), the new love interest of murderous Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley).

The season tracks Joe, who spent last season stalking aspiring writer Guinevere Beck (portrayed by Elizabeth Lail), as he moves to Los Angeles looking for a fresh start. Love quickly becomes the new object of Joe’s affection—or obsession—putting everyone in her life at risk. Or will the killer change his bloody ways for his new girlfriend?

The Netflix series is based on the novels of Caroline Kepnes; season 2 is adapted from her book Hidden Bodies. Chances are, One Chicago viewers heard about it last season when it became a social media sensation, first on Lifetime and then on the streaming service.

While saying more about Charlie Barnett’s character would be a spoiler, it’s worth pointing out that this is the latest in his growing string of projects for Netflix. He has also co-starred in the critically acclaimed Russian Doll and had a role in their Tales of the City remake, too.

On broadcast TV, he currently plays a villain of his own: John Diggle, Jr., also known as the future incarnation of Deathstroke, in the final season of The CW‘s Arrow.

All ten episodes of You season 2 can be streamed now if you have a Netflix subscription. It’s not a show for the faint of heart, considering that its protagonist is a serial killer, but it might tide Fire enthusiasts over until the show returns in January.
