What’s happening in this week’s Chicago PD episode? Find out about “43rd and Normal” with the Chicago PD season 7, episode 11 synopsis and teaser.

This next episode of Chicago PD gives one former couple time to deal with their big secret, as the rest of the team gets to work on a string of vandalism acts in Canaryville.

From the looks of the synopsis and promo that NBC has released, Wednesday’s installment, “43rd and Normal,” will give Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) the spotlight as they deal with her pregnancy.

With no one else in the unit knowing about Kim being pregnant with Adam’s child, it may be difficult for Burzek to work alongside all of them as they carry this secret around. Can they separate their personal and professional life? Or will it become too much for the former couple?

While they’re not together in a romantic sense right now, hopefully their platonic relationship will continue to grow, as Kim just told Adam during last week’s episode that she is in fact, keeping the baby.

Adam may also have the case on his mind, as Canaryville is his hometown. He’s not the only one who has a lot on their plate, though. Remember, Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) was left in the dark about where his brother Jordan was at the end of “Mercy.”

Fans may be wondering whether or not Detective Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) will be back on duty since he was discharged from the hospital. While he doesn’t appear in any of the promotional photos, perhaps they’ll put him on desk duty, as his one arm is now in a sling. They had Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) on light duty way back in season 1 after he was shot, so it’s not like it hasn’t been done before.

Here’s how NBC officially describes the episode:

"Ruzek and Burgess’ secret begins to have severe implications for their police work; a series of deadly acts of vandalism causes tensions to run high in the insular neighborhood of Canaryville; Atwater tries to reach out to his brother."
