What’s happening in this week’s Chicago Fire episode? Get an early look at “A Chicago Welcome” with the Chicago Fire season 8, episode 13 synopsis and teaser.
The next episode of Chicago Fire could have major repercussions for Firehouse 51, as a rescue mission may go horribly wrong.
From the looks at the synopsis and promo that NBC has released, “A Chicago Welcome” will have all hands on deck as members of Engine, Truck, and Squad all band together to assist in a “human chain.”
The promotional trailer shows Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) rallying around his leaders, Captain Matt Casey (Jesse Spencer), as well as Lieutenants Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg), as they try to figure out the best way to proceed.
It appears as though Severide is the one that is lowered downward towards the adults and children alike that are seen dangling from the gorge, and time is not exactly on their side for this rescue.
If they want to save as many people as they can from a rocky death below, each member of 51 will have to play to their strengths. Casey and Severide’s units are especially gifted, but they’ll need all the help – and tools! – they can get to make sure no one gets hurt.
As you’ll see in the trailer: “Any misstep could be their last” – and while 51 has performed some dangerous rescues in the past, could this one actually be their undoing?
Here’s how NBC officially describes the episode:
"The surprising arrival of a new fire truck brings both joy and chaos to members of Firehouse 51; Boden and Severide are asked to make peace with an old foe for the greater good; Brett receives family news while Foster plans a party with friends."
