What’s happening in this week’s Chicago PD episode? Find out about “I Was Here” with the Chicago PD season 7, episode 13 synopsis and teaser.
This next episode of Chicago PD puts one of their own in a grave situation, while the rest of the team tries to assist in solving the case related to it.
From the looks of the synopsis and promo that NBC has released, “I Was Here” sees Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) back in her policewoman blues as she works in a 911 operating call center.
Even though Burgess is at a different post for the time being, that doesn’t mean she won’t enlist the help of her team at 21st district when she needs it. That’s where Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe), and the rest of the Intelligence unit come in.
In the promotional trailer, fans see Kim talking to a young woman in distress on the phone. Kim asks the girl if anyone else is there with her, as she may be unable to speak. A scream sounds on the line, and the call appears to be disconnected.
Given that it is Kim Burgess, who is the least jaded out of all her teammates, she wants to help in any way she can. So, despite her pregnancy, she springs into action, taking off towards the location she was able to get on the call.
If you go by the trailer’s tagline: “One call will become her defining moment,” – then you may be concerned for the safety of Kim or her baby. While it’s unclear if Burgess is the one in distress by the time she arrives on scene, it’s clear that this case impacts her greatly.
Here’s how NBC officially describes the episode:
"After receiving a distressing 911 call, Burgess enlists the team’s help to track down a girl caught up in a sex-trafficking ring."
