Chicago PD season 7, episode 13 preview: I Was Here

What should fans look for in this week’s episode of Chicago PD? Get ready for “I Was Here” with our Chicago PD season 7, episode 13 preview.

Tonight’s episode of Chicago PD features Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) trying to solve a career-defining, and potentially life-altering case.

“I Was Here” has Kim back in uniform, answering calls at a first responders station when a distraught woman phones in. Kim answers the call, of course, and senses the girl’s urgent need for assistance.

Kim has such a good nature, and is always wanting to do the right thing, no matter what it may cost her. Only this time, she has another life to think about: her baby, which she and Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) are going to attempt to raise together.

Given all the recent ups and downs Burzek has had with the pregnancy storyline, it’s easy to wonder if Adam will be overprotective like he was when he first found out about the baby. Flueger told TVLine that he feels like Ruzek’s grown a lot, and that he’s ready to be a dad. Hopefully he and Kim can keep the good momentum going for the sake of their child.

While Burgess races against the clock to track down the young woman, she calls on her team in Intelligence to help uncover the bigger picture. The girl may be involved in a sex-trafficking ring, and they’ll need to track down the person(s) responsible before it’s too late.

With so much at stake, let’s hope Kim doesn’t get herself into too much trouble. She’s not only an important member of Intelligence, but she’s got a little one to think about. It would be a tragedy for something to happen to her or the baby, because if any couple (former or not) were bound to be parents, it would be Kim and Adam.
