The latest Chicago PD will be the conclusion to a two-show crossover, and NBC has released the official description for the episode as well as a promo for it.

Wednesday’s installment, titled “Burden of Truth,” wraps up a storyline started during that night’s episode of Chicago Fire. The Intelligence Unit is desperate to find the drug dealer whose product is responsible for multiple overdoses throughout Chicago.

The case brings them back into the orbit of Sean Roman (guest star Brian Geraghty, returning to the show for the first time since 2016 when he was a main cast member). Roman has a personal connection to the case, and we don’t mean the fact that he used to date Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati).

So will Intelligence, working together with Roman and their colleagues at Firehouse 51, be able to put a stop to these fatal drugs that are hitting the streets? And what will it be like for Burgess, as well as the rest of the team, to see a familiar face again? There are plenty of questions about this episode, but as usual with One Chicago crossovers, specifics are pretty vague. The network can’t give away spoilers for its big event, after all!

"Intelligence searches for the dealer who caused multiple overdoses and is connected to Roman’s missing sister. The case becomes a homicide investigation when they find the dealer’s dead body."
