NBC has released the official photos for the next Chicago Fire, and fans can see early images of Firehouse 51 teaming up with the Intelligence Unit to solve an explosive case.
Wednesday’s episode “Off the Grid” kicks off a two-hour crossover with Chicago PD and will feature appearances from familiar faces, including special guest star Brian Geraghty, who portrayed Sean Roman for two seasons.
It’s all hands on deck this week, as Squad, Truck, Engine, and Ambo are all dispatched to a major incident, which makes sense since it’s a crossover. From the looks of this week’s promotional photos, everyone has a part to play. You can see Lieutenant Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) holding a halogen, while Darren Ritter (Daniel Kyri) balances a hose in another shot.
They aren’t the only ones who are called to the scene, though. Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) can be seen talking with officers Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) and Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) in one photo. Meanwhile, Severide stops by the 21st District, where Ruzek appears to get him up to speed with the details of their case.
One Chicago fans love to see any of the shows come together, and this will be the second (and presumably last) crossover of the 2019-2020 season. But based on these photos, it seems like the episode works in just about every Fire character with a healthy helping of PD appearances, so it shouldn’t disappoint!
