NBC has released the official photos for Chicago Fire season 8, episode 16, and they show that Firehouse 51 takes on a major call when a car plunges into the river.

“The Tendency of a Drowning Victim” has several different characters featured in the photos, from Engine, Truck and Squad, to Ambulance 61. Featured most prominently are Captain Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer), Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo), and the new kid on the block, Blake Gallo (Alberto Rosende).

Given that Squad 3, which is led by Lieutenant Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney), is the go-to rescue team, hopefully fans will get to see that type of action in this week’s episode. Severide is one of the people not in these photos, though, so maybe Chicago Fire is giving him a break after he had so much screen time in last week’s crossover.

Fan favorite paramedic team of Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) and Emily Foster (Annie Ilonzeh) are featured in the photos, though. That will be a nice trend to continue, as last week’s episode saw the friends and roommates be there for each other in a time of need.

There seem to be two distinct rescue scenes here, so that might mean that “The Tendency of a Drowning Victim” spends extra time on these calls (the latter looks particularly complicated). Or is there something else going on that the network doesn’t want to reveal just yet? After all, there’s not a single shot from inside Firehouse 51—and Severide isn’t the only character missing.
