NBC has released the official photos for Chicago Fire season 8, episode 17, and everyone is looking busy as Firehouse 51 must perform a dangerous rescue.
“Protect a Child” will feature Captain Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer), as well as Lieutenants Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg) calling the shots as they give orders to their teams during a warehouse rescue.
It’s paramount that things go off without a hitch, because if you’ve seen the episode’s promo, then you know that one tiny mistake could mean a world of hurt for our favorite firefighters and/or paramedics.
It seems as though this week’s photos are taken from two different scenes: inside this warehouse for their epic rescue mission, as well as around the firehouse for some personal dealings.
The former is shown when the whole Chicago Fire crew comes marching in, which makes for a very cool promotional photo. Elsewhere, it looks like Darren Ritter (Daniel Kyri) will be called upon by his commander, Lieutenant Herrmann, to assist at the warehouse.
The latter showcases certain couples or work relationships, including Stellaride—Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Severide—and Ambulance 61’s Emily Foster (Annie Ilonzeh) and Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer).
Casey is featured both on the job and off, as is Brett. The two have been spending a lot of time together recently, as Sylvie’s gone to him for advice about her birth mother’s return. Julie (guest star Kelly Deadmon) is present in a couple of the episode photos, so there may be some more Brettsey interactions to come and there will definitely be at least one more scene between Brett and her mom.
When you add all these images up, it looks like the episode will offer fans a balance of work and life, which is a part of what makes the One Chicago series so popular.
