Chicago Med alum Louis Herthum is guest starring in tonight’s FBI: Most Wanted episode that is part of a crossover event with FBI.
Louis Herthum, who played Pat Halstead on Chicago Med, is guest-starring in the episode as a character named Blake Wilson. Details about his character weren’t released in advance by CBS, so you’ll have to watch to see what role he plays in the crossover.
The episode is called “Reveille” and directly follows the events of the FBI episode that airs before it. Special Agent Jess LaCroix (Julian McMahon) and his Fugitive Task Force are hot on the heels of a new target, trying to stop them from executing a terrorist’s deadly plan.
It’s nothing like Louis’s arc in the One Chicago franchise. Pat, the cantankerous father of Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) and Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer), was first introduced in the Chicago Med season 2 episode “Generation Gap.”

He and Will made their peace in that episode, and then Pat returned during the fourth season as part of a One Chicago crossover event.
A fire broke out in his new apartment building and Pat was critically injured while trying to save one of his fellow residents. Ultimately, Will and Jay had to make the decision to take their father off life support in the episode “When To Let Go.”
While it’s been a bummer not to see him in the Chicago universe anymore, it’s great that an actor as talented as Louis Herthum has been able to find a home elsewhere in the Dick Wolf universe. Hopefully this appearance gives him even more to sink his teeth into.
Watch a preview of “Reveille” and its predecessor “American Dreams” in the video below, then tune into FBI: Most Wanted tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
