Chicago Fire’s Andy Allo starring in new Amazon comedy Upload
Chicago Fire recurring guest star Andy Allo is the lead actress in Amazon’s comedy Upload, from The Office executive producer Greg Daniels.
If you’ve enjoyed Andy Allo as Wendy Seager on Chicago Fire, you’ll want to check out the new Amazon Prime Video series Upload, in which she plays the female lead.
Upload is a comedic take on the afterlife from Greg Daniels, one of the executive producers behind NBC‘s critically acclaimed sitcoms The Office and Parks & Recreation.
The story revolves around Nathan (played by Robbie Amell of The Tomorrow People and Code 8), who dies unexpectedly but is able to port himself into his ideal afterlife. When he arrives, he meets Allo’s character Nora, who becomes his guide and confidant.
While Nathan adjusts to being dead, Nora has to get used to him being around—and still doing her job, because she’s very much alive.

That’s a pretty far reach from Allo’s recurring role as arson investigator Wendy Seager on Chicago Fire. First introduced when she offered Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) a job at the Office of Fire Investigation, Seager became his partner at OFI and a trusted colleague.

More recently, when Severide’s girlfriend Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) needed a female officer to co-sponsor her Girls on Fire mentoring program, Severide recommended Seager. While Stella wasn’t entirely on board with the idea, still jealous of Wendy’s admiration for Severide, she eventually agreed and Seager helped Stella get Girls on Fire started.
We don’t know if we’ll see Wendy Seager in season 9, but we can see Andy Allo in a less serious and more prominent role in Upload.
All ten episodes of the first season are available to stream today exclusively with an Amazon Prime subscription—though Amazon usually offers some kind of a free trial, and occasionally will make first episodes of certain shows available for free, so there are ways to watch if you aren’t a subscriber, too.
