Chicago Med alum Mekia Cox to appear in Comic-Con At Home
Mekia Cox will participate in a Comic-Con At Home panel.
Mekia Cox will be on a Comic-Con panel this year, and Chicago Med fans will be able to stream it from the comfort of their homes.
The actress is scheduled to make a “special appearance” during the “A Conversation with Nathan Fillion” panel for Comic-Con 2020, according to a press release from Disney.
Cox currently stars on Fillion’s ABC series The Rookie playing Detective Nyla Harper, the training officer of Nolan’s character John Nolan.

To One Chicago fans, Mekia Cox is known as Dr. Robin Charles, the daughter of Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt) and one-time love interest of Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell).
She recurred as Robin throughout season 2 and partway through season 3, until the character broke up with Connor and left Chicago. Robin returned for one episode in season 5, as Daniel was throwing a party for her mother Caroline (recurring guest star Paula Newsome) before Caroline’s death from cancer.
Cox joined The Rookie this season as Nyla Harper, a detective who returns from a lengthy mission undercover and finds herself assigned as Nolan’s new training officer. She is divorced with a young daughter, Lila, who’s the subject of a custody battle between herself and her ex-husband Donovan (Agent Carter alum Enver Gjokaj).
The Rookie has already been renewed for a third season, set to premiere sometime in the fall.
As the title indicates, the “A Conversation with Nathan Fillion” panel is primarily a talk between Fillion and Alexi Hawley, who ran both The Rookie and Fillion’s previous series Castle. Aside from Cox, other actors scheduled to appear include Jon Huertas (This Is Us), Alan Tudyk (Firefly), Gina Torres (Suits), Molly Quinn and Seamus Dever—all of whom have worked with the actor on either The Rookie, Castle or Firefly.
