Here are the One Chicago-related Comic-Con 2020 highlights.

Comic-Con 2020, or Comic-Con At Home, took place over the weekend giving One Chicago viewers updates on a number of actors’ current projects—and a chance to hear from some of them, too!

Familiar faces from Chicago Fire and Chicago Med participated in panel discussions for their current TV shows, while fans got their first look at season 2 of a series featuring a Chicago PD alum.

If you weren’t around this weekend to see all of it, here are the most important things to know from the Comic-Con 2020 extravaganza, as well as links to the YouTube panels so you can watch them yourself.

However, be aware that many Comic-Con At Home panels were expected to be taken down after the convention weekend—so these video links may disappear at any time!

Chicago Fire: Andy Allo in Upload

Andy Allo, who’s currently recurring on Chicago Fire as arson investigator Wendy Seager, stars in the Amazon Prime Video series Upload. During the panel, she discussed her character Nora and Nora’s feelings for Nathan (played by Robbie Amell), given that Nathan is dead and in a virtually created afterlife—while Nora is very much alive.

As the female lead of the series, Andy appears throughout the discussion, talking about the first season and whether or not Nora’s interest in Nathan comes from the fact that she knows all of his life; after all, she’s operating it. SPOILER ALERT: This video discusses major points from Upload season 1, so One Chicago fans still catching up should watch with caution.

Chicago Fire: Eloise Mumford in The Right Stuff

Chicago Fire actress Eloise Mumford (who recurred as Sylvie Brett’s old friend Hope Jacquinot) has a major role in the upcoming Disney+ series The Right Stuff. She stars as Trudy Cooper, the wife of NASA astronaut Gordon Cooper, and appeared on the panel previewing the new series.

There’s some interesting discussion here about the earlier days of NASA; Eloise comments on how there were plenty of capable women, but they didn’t get the same opportunities as men. “You may have the right stuff within you,” she said, “but your ability to show it to the world may be limited.” Her first appearance comes at the 20:31 mark of the video.

Chicago Med: Mekia Cox on The Rookie

Former Chicago Med recurring guest star Mekia Cox (who played Dr. Robin Charles) participated in a panel celebrating Nathan Fillion, who co-stars with Mekia on her current ABC series The Rookie. Mekia spoke about the logistics of acting, including the audition process. “As soon as you walk into the room, you are on,” she said. “People want to know, are you the type of person I can get along with?”

One Chicago fans should know that Mekia’s larger interview has been split into bite-size pieces throughout this video; she pops up for brief intervals starting at the 21:39 mark, with the last time we hear from her coming at 40:22.

Chicago PD: For All Mankind season 2 trailer

While Chicago PD actor Chris Agos (who recurred as Assistant State’s Attorney Steve Kot) was not included in the For All Mankind panel, Apple TV+ did release a new trailer for the show. Chris plays Buzz Aldrin in the alternate history sci-fi series, in which the space race never ended and America is in continued competition with the Soviet Union.

Get your first look at For All Mankind season 2 below, and hopefully One Chicago enthusiasts will see more of Chris Agos in it.
