Here’s when and where Chicago Fire will air in August 2020.

The Chicago Fire TV schedule in August 2020 sees some significant changes—and they’re not good news for One Chicago fans.

Now that NBC has its usual summer programming, it’s beginning to remove Fire episodes from the primetime schedule to make room for the usual reality shows and game shows. This is not a huge shock; from a network perspective, there’s no reason to air repeats of something if you have new episodes of something else.

Plus, since the network has been airing season 8 repeats since April, they’ve pretty much gone through the whole season at this point. The well is running dry unless they want to start bringing back episodes from earlier seasons (which for some reason, most broadcast TV networks don’t usually do).

So you’ll be seeing less of Firehouse 51 in August, while we all await news about whether or not new episodes are coming in September.

August 5: “Light Things Up” (Chicago Fire season 8, episode 19)

Firehouse 51 is overrun by a group of protesters upset over the closing of another firehouse, one of whom chains himself to the equipment. Meanwhile, Darren Ritter and Blake Gallo (Daniel Kyri and Alberto Rosende) think that the firehouse needs a bigger social media presence—an idea that doesn’t go over well with anyone else.

August 12: PREEMPTED

The series will not air Wednesday, August 12 to make room for a new episode of World of Dance.

August 19: TO BE ANNOUNCED

August 26: ALSO TO BE ANNOUNCED
