In this article, we’re profiling Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto).

Where we left off

Natalie’s story arc in the last Chicago Med season went from one traumatic event to another. She opened season 5 having suffered a traumatic injury in the car accident that ended season 4, which caused her to lose her memory (though there was also a slight time jump involved in her recovery).

Then she found out her fiance Phillip (guest star Ian Harding) had been lying to her, then she found out that he was also a sociopath who had only been using his young daughter as a way to get to her. Natalie then went running back to former fiance Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss), who told her in no uncertain terms that he was completely over her.

But Natalie didn’t waste much time moving on. After got kidnapped along with new arrival Dr. Crockett Marcel (Dominic Rains), she saved Crockett from a murder accusation in the season finale and it was pretty heavily hinted in the last few episodes of the season that those two are about to become more than colleagues.

Plus, Natalie got arrested. Because it’s not a Chicago Med season unless Natalie upsets somebody with her insistence on being right.
