In this article, we’re profiling Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss).
Where we left off
Will got himself into a fair amount of trouble during Chicago Med‘s latest season. During the only One Chicago crossover that the show participated in, he was attacked while working on a cure for the infection. Luckily, he was just left with a nasty bump, but still that definitely hurt.
His big storyline, though, was working at a safe injection site with drug addicts, and realizing that one of them was actually a co-worker. He confronted Dr. Hannah Asher (recurring guest star Jessy Schram), and she at first tried to blackmail him, threatening to out his unsanctioned work to the boss. But, in one of the season’s most surprising plot twists, they ended up sleeping together.
Hannah eventually went to rehab and began the long road to recovery, while she and Will continued to date. The two were seen together at Maggie Lockwood’s (Marlyne Barrett) wedding, proving that Will seemed to finally have moved on from ex-fiancee Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto). One of the more dramatic scenes of the season was Will refusing to take Natalie back and saying that his life was better off without her. Ouch.
