Preview Chicago Med season 6, episode 1 photos.

The wait for the Chicago Med season 6 premiere is finally over, and audiences can get a glimpse of what’s coming when the show returns with our Chicago Med season 6, episode 1 photos.

This episode is entitled “When Did We Begin To Change,” and there are a lot of obvious changes in the promotional photos that NBC has released. It’s very obvious that the medical drama is doing a COVID-19 story, as several characters are seen in more personal protective equipment (PPE) than usual.

Franchise producer Dick Wolf had previously confirmed that COVID-19 will play a part this season, including one of the characters being diagnosed with coronavirus. While he didn’t say who that is, it’s worth noting that Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) looks very angsty in one of these images. Is it his girlfriend Dr. Hannah Asher (recurring guest star Jessy Schram) who has it?

Plus, Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) still looks as pensive as he did at the end of season 5. Has he had any chance to relax, or will he continue to be in a bad mood this season, like he was for the final few episodes of last season?

There are also several characters completely missing from the photo lineup, so does that mean they don’t have a lot to do in the first episode back? One thing’s for certain when you look at these pictures: this isn’t the same show we left behind in April. Not by a long shot.
