The Chicago PD season 8 premiere is only days away, and One Chicago fans can look ahead with One Chicago Center’s collection of Chicago PD season 8, episode 1 photos.
In the first episode of the new season, “Fighting Ghosts” (not to be confused with the season 5 episodes “Ghosts” or “Chasing Monsters”), the Intelligence Unit is back in action. The majority of the official images released by NBC appear to be from the same scenes with the team out in the field.
What’s interesting is that even though last season ended with a cliffhanger featuring Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins), Atwater is only front and center in one of the pictures. Does that mean he doesn’t have a lot of screen time in the premiere, or is that just because most of the photos come from the same part of the episode?
Viewers can also see Nicole Ari Parker as the new Deputy Superintendent. Based on the background, it’s obvious that she’s having a meeting with Hank Voight (Jason Beghe), in what appears to be her new office. It probably won’t be long before the character irritates Voight, although the Empire actress will be around for multiple episodes this season.
