The next Chicago Med will include the return of Noah Sexton, as revealed in NBC‘s official description for this episode and the accompanying promo.

Noah (recurring guest star Roland Buck III) hasn’t been seen yet this season, but that’s going to change in “When Your Heart Rules Your Head.” Unfortunately, his storyline hasn’t changed at all; he’s in trouble again.

Meanwhile, fans will also see the return of Anna Charles, so there will be more domestic drama in the Charles household. Last viewers heard, Daniel’s (Oliver Platt) ex-wife was planning a move to Arizona and Anna was supposed to go with her.  Will this episode change that?

It seems like most of the drama this week will thus revolve around our heroes’ family members rather than the main characters themselves. The only main character mentioned on their own is Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss), who continues to be working on his clinical trial.

That could be interesting, or it might not. Fans have particularly been asking about Noah for a while, but episodes that pull focus onto supporting characters also run the risk of not giving viewers enough of the regular characters that they tuned in for. How invested are viewers in Anna and Noah? Or will they want to see more of other people instead?
