Chicago PD season 8, episode 7 synopsis and promo: Instinct
The next episode of Chicago PD sounds a little bit like the last one, at least when you look at the official information that NBC has put out ahead of Wednesday’s premiere.
“Instinct” has Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) working to take down a drug dealer with the help of a potentially rogue informant.
Fans will recall that “Equal Justice” had Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) working against a drug dealer while collaborating with his own man on the inside.
So what’s going to make these episodes different from each other? We’ll have to watch the full installment this week to find out, but at least it’s more screen time for Ruzek. Most of what his story has covered in season 8 has been his relationship, unofficial as it is, with former fiancee Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati). We haven’t seen any professional development for him.
Hopefully Ruzek’s case will have a better ending than Halstead’s did. And will “Instinct” give One Chicago viewers an update on the Burgess and Ruzek situation, since it seemed like they were on the rocks after Burgess decided to become a foster mother without consulting Adam?
We didn’t get any reference to that last week, so there’s no clarity on what’s going on with them and this would be a good time to at least mention it.
