Former Chicago Med series regular Norma Kuhling is back on network TV. The actress guest-starred in the latest episode of the CBS crime drama SWAT, and it’s possible she might return.

Kuhling portrayed Dr. Ava Bekker on Chicago Med. Originally introduced as a love interest for Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell) at the end of season 2, Ava became more erratic and was revealed to be full-on crazy in the season 5 premiere.

After it was confirmed that she had murdered Connor’s father, she tried to frame him for the crime before ultimately attempting suicide in front of him. Despite Connor’s best efforts, Ava died during the fifth season opener.

In reality, both Norma Kuhling and Colin Donnell were dropped from the cast of Chicago Med after the fourth season.

Luckily, Norma’s role on SWAT seems much more grounded, though there are hints that she might get entangled with a main character there, too.

Her character Nora Fowler was introduced in the most recent episode “Buried” as an Army veteran and tactical medic who was a possible new member of the team.

Nora also displayed an interest in Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson, the main character played by Shemar Moore. You can read more about Nora’s storyline on our sister site Precinct TV.

Since the character might become a team member, and also might have a connection with SWAT‘s primary hero, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Norma Kuhling turns up on the show again—though no official announcement has been made.

One Chicago fans who missed the episode can download it on Amazon or stream it on Paramount+ (formerly CBS All Access). You may also be able to watch it free by accessing CBS on demand content through your cable provider. Below is a gallery of images of Norma Kuhling on SWAT.
